Why I chose to be an RMT

I discovered my calling as a RMT through a serendipitous turn of events. Initially drawn to the world of veterinary medicine, my inherent empathy and caring nature were recognized by my mother, who suggested exploring massage therapy as a potential career path. What began as a means to support my education unexpectedly blossomed into a deep seated passion.

Each day, I find fulfillment in the ability to alleviate pain, promote relaxation, and bring smiles to my clients’ faces. For me, being an RMT is more than a job—it’s a calling that fills my heart with joy and purpose. I consider myself fortunate to have found a career where making a positive difference in people’s lives feels like second nature, and where work never feels like work at all.

An RMT since 2013

Since embarking on my journey as a Registered Massage Therapist in 2013, I have dedicated the last decade to focusing in addressing the needs of individuals grappling with neck and shoulder tension, sciatica, and central nervous system issues. While my practice has been multifaceted, I derive particular satisfaction from tackling chronic conditions and persistent pain, all while fostering a sense of relaxation and well-being in my clients.

Believing in the holistic benefits of massage therapy. I approach each session with the conviction that it should not only address physical ailments but also nurture mental wellness. I hold the belief that massage therapy should be an experience that clients eagerly anticipate and thoroughly enjoy, encompassing both the physical and emotional aspects of healing and relaxation.

My commitment to versatility and embracing challenges ensures that I remain adept at addressing a wide array of conditions, all while maintaining a steadfast focus on promoting healing, relaxation, and overall well-being.

What brought me to FTNU

Around eight years ago, I discovered a passion for TMD treatments, integrating techniques into my practice. Despite pursuing additional courses, I felt that I needed a more comprehensive education in this area. When the opportunity arose to transition into a TMD focused practice, I made the decision to follow my heart and concentrate on what I was truly passionate about. My unwavering dedication to my craft continues to drive me as I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those those suffering with TMD.

Between the techniques

I take great pride in my ability to listen attentively to my patients, recognizing that effective communication is the cornerstone of a successful treatment plan. I firmly believe that by truly understanding my clients’ needs and concerns, I can craft personalized treatment strategies that yield the best results.

Creating a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment for my patients is paramount to me. I strive to foster a space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood, knowing that this conducive atmosphere enhances the therapeutic experience.

In my practice, I view my role as a collaborative one. I work alongside my clients, leveraging my expertise and guidance to ensure that each treatment is tailored to meet the individual’s unique needs and goals. For me, the ultimate measure of success lies in my clients’ satisfaction and well-being.
